The primary election will be held on Tuesday, June 22. There are three races in Morgan County that will select candidates for the fall election:

U.S. Senate

Tim Bridgewater

Mike Lee

Utah State House District 53

Melvin R. Brown

Jon Hellander

County Council At Large Seat A

Amy Clark

Lawrence M. Hatch

Robert Kilmer

The County Council At Large Seat B will also be on the ballot, even though Clay Rich has withdrawn from the race Both of the remaining candidates (Ned Mecham and Jeremy Barker) will continue on to the general election in November.

Primary elections often draw fewer voters, so every vote counts. Please take time to go and vote. If you have questions about where the candidates stand on issues, The Morgan County News did interviews with the candidates in the Utah State House District 53 and the County Council at Large A races. A summary of the county council candidates’ answers can be found on page 8.

The polling locations will be Mountain Green Elementary, the Morgan County Council Room and the auditorium in the county building.
